The Whidbey Island Orchestra was formed in 2007 to provide quality musical experiences
for young and adult musicians of Whidbey Island and for our community.

Please Donate to the Orchestra

We are a 501(c)(3) organization; contributions are tax-deductible.

From the start, Whidbey Island Orchestra has relied on community support. Our income comes from fees the adult musicians pay to participate and, especially, community donations.

The Covid epidemic has prevented us from having free community concerts, but we still have expenses for music storage, insurance, and our Youth Scholarship program. Music Director/Conductor Cynthia Morrow has graciously donated the majority of her time and worked tirelessly and creatively to shepherd the orchestra through this challenging time.

Providing a safe environment for brass and woodwind instruments to join our string players proved to be too challenging for this season. So, joined by "Luigi" Jazz Dancers choreographed by Daunne Zinger, and vocal talent Jeff Belfiglio, the Whidbey Island Orchestra Strings have recorded "The Witching Hour" - several Halloween-themed videos - for your enjoyment (and ours!). Please take a moment to donate, and click the link to see the videos.
